Series is over after two successive seasons and last episode of series was aired on 11-11-2006. Two years are going to be complete after its cancellation and I think we shouldn’t think about new episodes after such a long time!
Lots of shows are being cancelled and creators say that the only one reason behind all these cancellations is ‘WGA Strike‘. But Afterlife was cancelled before the strike it self, then how’ll they elucidate their move?
Response of fans was incredible and series remained a success for ITV network in terms of viewing figures which remained strong from series opener to series finale. In 2007, series also got 3 nominations for the Monte Carlo Television Festival 2007- Andrew Lincoln as Best Actor, Lesley Sharp as Best Actress and Murray Ferguson as the Best Producer.

Everything including ratings and fan reviews was in favor of series, despite that, the network decided not to give it a third season.
