Lincoln revealed that he tries to fit in the shoes of American cop Rick Grimes, the sheriff who takes the responsibility of saving innocent people from zombie apocalypse, by not speaking in British accent.

Well, that’s what we would call a commitment in real sense of the term, and who could be a champion in doing that other than Lincoln.

His American English has had invited the irk of his English wife many a times. And it was obvious because no family would want the chief to don someone else’s skin, even if he was an actor.

Show creator, Stephen Volk deserves the appreciation because somebody else in his place wouldn’t have taken the risk of conceptualizing a horror show without the usual shocker techniques.

I feel, Alison Mundy, the lady who has the ability to talk with spirits made up the suspense factor needed in the show.

That apart, her association with Dr Robert Bridge, who happens to be an academic, sprinkled the grains of compelling drama over the supernatural show.

Alison’s job is to help people who are haunted by troubled spirits. And in doing so, she takes us to a mysterious labyrinth that never seems to have a way out.

Afterlife episodes are no longer available on air. But I have a gut feeling that if the show had an approval for some more seasons, horror lovers would have loved to watch more segments.

The role of Alison Mundy was played by Lesley Sharp, while that of the academic was portrayed by Andrew Lincoln.

These days, Lincoln is better known for his performance in another smash hit horror show, The Walking Dead.

I know, you have figured out the similarity of his roles in both the shows, of same genre.

It would be wrong to claim that the motives of both the characters played by the actor were same. But, yes, in both the shows, Lincoln is shown to be at the receiving end.

Anyway, unless his characters were not featured to be someone in utter peril, both the shows wouldn’t have the jolting effects in the narratives.

It’s for sure that Andrew Lincoln will be in all praise of Afterlife, because it gave him the platform to have a date with horror, on-screen.

Actress Lesley Sharp talks about what her biggest dream as an actor has been, and why she could not pursue it as passionately, as she wished to.

Even though Lesley has been around for more than two decades, this actress is still not as famous as one would expect her to be.

The reason is probably the fact that she is intensely selective about her work, and has always worked not for the fame, but for the satisfaction that comes with working on quality projects.

Talking of her biggest dream as an actor, Lesley says that she always wished to perform on stage in a great role that was watched by a large audience, with all the people applauding her, as she performs.

However, this was not an easy dream for the actress to pursue.

With her marriage to Nicholas Gleaves in 1994, Lesley had to keep her family as the top priority, above all else. With the birth of her sons, she could not balance working in theatre and bringing them up simultaneously, which is why she just had to give one up.

Talking of how difficult it was to balance the two, Lesley declares that being the part of a play, required a certain amount of discipline and concentration, which was simply not possible with young children to look after.

She recalls a particular experience, while working on ‘Mother Courage’ in 1995, when she felt guilty for not being good enough as a mother.

She explains how difficult it is to know that your baby is crying, while you are on stage.

However, with the kids having grown up now, Lesley made her dream come true with her recent plays like ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’ and ‘Ghosts’.

The actor who once appeared in the Afterlife episodes in a guest role?

I am sure if you were a regular follower of the mystery series, you wouldn’t have missed his act in the flesh jittering show.

Anyway, the latest buzz is that the star would be seen playing in a play named, The Railway Children.

Sources close to the development of the play revealed that he will join the cast of the drama by the month of December.

The former Afterlife actor will replace Craig Warnock in the drama, as and when it opens for a run at the Waterloo Station Theatre from December 3rd to 8th January, next year.

With loads of experience as a theater actor, with plays like Waterloo Road, Early Doors and Catterick, the actor is perhaps a big catch for E. Nesbit’s drama.

Mark Benton will be seen as the stationmaster, Mr. Perks, who will accompany three London-based children and their mommy, in an adventurous fun ride, as soon as they land in Yorkshire.

In a quest to find their missing father, Bobby, Peter and Phyllis, the kids, will encounter several strange events.

But each time, they will have the company of Mr. Perks.

Even though he has the experience card to play, it’s no child’s play, to act in front of a live audience.

Being ardent fans of the actor, all we want is that he doesn’t flounder on the stage.

He might not have gotten the adequate time to showcase his talent, during his stint in the mystery show, but I must inform you that theater acting is actually his cup of tea!

Not that am I trying to make hyperbolic statements about the star, but his credentials speak for himself in a great way.

And if you have any qualms about the claim that I have just made, then try to catch him in the shoes of the stationmaster.

I bet, you will start to shower words of praise on him, for being an actor true to the roots of his profession, pretty soon!

His portrayal of Dr Robert Bridge in once-popular supernatural series, Afterlife, might not have reached all the entertainment mongers.

But, it would be a bizarre statement if we conclude that he hasn’t reaped any benefit out of the show.

I guess, the popularity of his character, Rick Grimes, in smash hit horror series The Walking Dead is a live example of what Afterlife taught him.

Yeah, that’s right the supernatural show honed his skills, to look natural with his acting in the shoes of a savior in the post-apocalyptic horror series.

And you would be surprised to know that the actor has actually spiked off several movies roles in order to stand up to his commitment towards The Walking Dead.

And why wouldn’t he do that?

After all, the horror show has earned him the kind of recognition he deserved in the industry.

With season 2 rolling out the doses of horror every week, the good news is that there is one more batch of latest episodes lining up for Andrew Lincoln.

The film offers us a great watch of Rebecca’s thrilling investigations, as she unravels the unfathomable mysteries of the child ghost, in this bloodcurdling film.

We, the lovers of horror and occult, hope to be driven back to the same terror and eerie, as in the days of our favorite Afterlife.

Before marching into the glamorous world of tinsel town, an aspiring actor does so many things to earn bread and butter. Some wash dishes, some cook and deliver food, while others teach acting or singing in their local areas.

But you will be shocked to hear that Ed Westwick was an army man! Well, if you don’t believe this, it’s completely alright because it’s a lie!
